Not far from better-known Calgary Bay, on the northern coast of Mull is Langamull Beach. Just as pretty with equally clear turquoise water and sparkling white sand this beach is always quieter. --> The beach at Langamull is divided by a low rocky outcrop; on half is a more open mix of sand, rocks and patches of machair (grass and flowers), the other side has more of the feel of a little cove with the rocks providing some shelter. Whichever side you choose there are fantastic views over to Rum and plenty of birdlife to spot.Access isn’t quite as easy as at Calgary and the nearest parking is at the Forestry Enterprise car park between Dervaig and Calgary Bay, about 30 minutes walk away. The bonus is you are likely to have the beach to yourself.

Owners of smaller dogs should be aware that the beach is quite large and exposed. A proper blast for your best friend!
