Knab Rock Beach (Swansea Bay)
📍 Swansea, Glamorgan
About This Place
At the southern end of Swansea Bay, Knabs Rock lies adjacent to the delightfully-named village of Mumbles. The sand and shingle beach here is backed by an extensive sea wall, alongside a car park and marina. --> The car park here is popular with sea anglers who cast their lines over the railings above the sea wall. It is said that you can fish here without leaving your car (but only at high tide!). A purpose built watersports facility here has a tourist information point, toilets and changing facilities, providing amenities for enthusiasts sailing along this spectacular stretch of coastline. From the beach there are fine views over the picturesque bay, dotted with small fishing boats and towards the lifeboat station. Mumbles Pier, built in 1898, is a short walk from the beach, and adds to the character of the place. Mumbles has a promenade and a good selection of pubs and other amenities.
💡 Our Take
We at DogParkUK heartily recommend Knab Rock Beach in Swansea Bay, Wales! It's a fantastic, dog-friendly sand haven that welcomes furry friends all year-round. Your dog will love bounding across the soft sand and splashing in the shallows. Parking is usually good nearby, but do check tide times before heading out, as the beach shrinks significantly at high tide! The nearest facilities are in the local area. Keep a close eye on your dog in the water. This beach is brilliant for energetic bigger dogs that love to run and swim.
