About This Place
Kilbride Bay lies on the Cowal Peninsula, an area that is sometimes referred to as Argyll’s Secret Coast. We’re not too sure whether it really is a secret or just quite remote. Either way the chances are you won’t be sharing this lovely beach with more than a handful of other people. --> The crescent-shaped sandy beach is backed by low dunes, but it isn’t what is behind that grabs most people’s attention. The beach looks straight out into the Firth of Clyde and to the mountainous outline of the Isle of Arran. The sheltered waters here are ideal for a paddle or swim if you don’t mind it being a bit chilly. You may also spot a range of sealife including seal, porpoises and otters closer to shore.
