Keel Head Beach (Holy Island)
π Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland
About This Place
A remote sandy beach on the northern coast of Holy Island. Sitting in the lee of Emmanuel Head the beach here is easily located by the huge white pyramid shaped navigation tower that warns shipping of the hidden reefs off the coast here. --> Backed by high sand dunes this beach has a secluded feel to it and is as likely to be visited by walkers and birdwatchers as beach-goers. As you might expect, given its wild feel, there is nothing in the way of facilities here.

Welcoming dogs year-round, its expansive sandy stretches and absence of restrictions make it a paradise for big dogs with energy to burn. Ideal for adventurous pups, the clean, soft sands offer endless play. Parking is close by, ensuring convenience, though it's wise to bring water as facilities are limited. While swimming is safe, always be cautious of changing tides. Keel Head Beach is perfect for dogs who thrive in open spaces, and families looking for a scenic, dog-friendly outing in serene countryside.
