Institute Beach
π Torquay, Devon
About This Place
This little beach is tucked away on a little headland between Torquay and Paignton. Somewhat hidden away below the red sandstone cliffs of the Livermead Cliff Hotel, Institute beach is a great spot to get away from it all. --> The beach itself is made up of red sand and shingle with rocks and plenty of interesting rock pools exposed towards low tide. It isnβt the prettiest beach on the coast but the leafy backdrop and sheltered secluded feel make it worth a visit.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a dog-friendly beach in the UK? While we don't currently have details of Institute Beach, remember responsible dog ownership keeps our beaches welcoming! When discovering your local shores, check if dogs are welcome year-round or seasonally. Opt for sandy beaches, perfect for playful pups digging and chasing! Parking availability is a must, and scoping out nearby facilities like water taps is super handy. Prioritise swim safety, and be mindful of tides. Little and larger breed owners will all enjoy a beach day! Remember to bring poop bags, and keep your dog on a lead when requested - it's beach etiquette.
