About This Place

Hopeman village has two beaches which are separated by a headland, around which the harbour was built. The larger of these two beaches is Hopeman East. The beach is mostly sandy, but there are rocky patches, including many interesting rock pools to explore. --> The beach often gets large waves, making it a popular spot for surfers. It is also a popular destination for walkers, with a coastal path passing the beach. From the beach there are excellent views out onto the Moray Firth, where there is a fair chance of spotting dolphins out on the surf. There are plenty of parking spaces behind the beach as well as a skate park, public toilets, and a number of beach huts. More facilities can be found to the west of the beach along Harbour Street. The area is also popular with golf enthusiasts.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Looking for a great Scottish dog beach? Hopeman East Beach in Moray is a fantastic choice! Dogs are welcome year-round on its beautiful sandy shores, perfect for carefree zoomies. Parking is readily available, so you can easily unload your furry friend. While facilities are limited at the beach itself, the nearby village has convenient amenities. The water is generally calm, but always supervise your dog's swimming. This beach is ideal for well-socialized dogs who love to run and play in the sand. Remember to bring your own water and always scoop the poop!
