About This Place

Herne Bay is a quintessential English seaside resort with a pier, a promenade and a Victorian bandstand. There are plenty of good facilities to be found here including some excellent seafood restaurants. --> East of the town, beyond the breakwater known as Neptuneโ€™s arm, a short drive east will bring the visitor to The Kingโ€™s Hall. It is possible to park close by, and the stretch of coast between The Kingโ€™s Hall and Reculver is a good spot to come for long walks. It is also quite popular with kayakers, boaters and crabbers. The beach itself is mainly shingle, and a number of groynes stretch out into the sea. Herne Bay east beach is backed by a sea wall and behind that, grassy slopes, known as The Downs are criss-crossed with a number of footpaths. This area is a haven for birdlife and has been designated a Special Protection Area for birds. From the beach, the cliffs and romantic ruins of Reculver Castle can be seen.

๐Ÿ’ก Our Take

Herne Bay East Beach in Kent is a delightful spot for dog lovers, welcoming your furry friends all year round on its sandy and shingle shores east of Neptune's Arm. It's perfect for long coastal walks, making it a haven for both energetic puppies and those a bit more anxious who need extra space. With no specific restrictions, it offers a carefree environment for big dogs too. Just be cautious as swimming can be tricky due to shingle accumulations. Facilities are nearby in town for added convenience. DogParkUK highly recommends this beach for a relaxed, enjoyable day out with your canine companion.
