About This Place
Hampton in the Herne Bay area, about 4 miles east of Whitstable, is a good example of a regenerated seaside resort - so much so that some locals refer to it as Islington-on-Sea. --> The main beach here stretches east from Hampton Pier to Herne Bay Pier.Β The beach, which is lined by pretty-coloured beach huts and backed by the Spa Esplanade, is mainly pebbled, with some sandy patches.Β At low tide a wide are of mudflats can be seen.Β Small, picturesque fishing boats can usually be seen dotted around the foreshore. Walking east, past the yacht club, a number of wooden groynes stretch out to sea - this area has a history of coastal erosion.Β It is an easy walk from here to Herne Bay with its pier and other amenities and attractions. Parking can be found close to Hampton Pier.

Featuring soft sand perfect for frolicking paws, it's ideal for energetic puppies and big breeds needing space. On sunny days, canine companions can enjoy a splash in the shallow, safe waters, though caution is advised during high tides. Ample parking nearby facilitates easy access, and the quaint village offers convenient amenities. With no restrictions, it's a stress-free outing for even the most anxious of dogs. DogParkUK wholeheartedly recommends Hampton Beach for an enjoyable and carefree day out with your furry friend.
