Greenaleigh Sand Beach
π Minehead, Somerset
About This Place
Greenaleigh Sand is a secluded stretch of beach around 1.5 miles west of Minehead harbour. Towards low tide it lives up to its name and there is a fairly wide area of sand. This backs onto small boulders and wooded cliffs and fields. --> Given that the beach is only really accessible after a fair walk it is generally empty. The obvious route is from Minehead via the South West Coast Path but there is also a route down from Moor Wood via Greenaleigh Farm.
π‘ Our Take
Greenaleigh Sand Beach in Somerset is a welcoming seaside retreat for dogs, open all year without any restrictions. The soft, expansive sands provide a wonderful playground for all sizes of dogs, making it particularly delightful for restless puppies or energetic big dogs. While there, take note that parking can be a bit of a walk away, so come prepared for a leisurely stroll to the shore. The beachβs natural layout offers plenty of space for anxious dogs to explore without feeling crowded. We recommend it for its serene setting, helping your furry friend enjoy a joyful, stress-free beach adventure.
