Gore Cove
π Weymouth, Dorset
About This Place
Gore Cove is a tiny patch of sand and shingle hidden on shores of the Fleet lagoon which lies behind Chesil Beach. --> The Fleet lagoon is a 10 mile (15km) long stretch of brackish water (slat and fresh) that lies behind the ruler straight Chesil Bank. Depite being fairly shallow and warm, the lagoon might not be the most inviting place for a swim. It is however overflowing with wildlife and is an SSSI, SPA and SAC to mention a few acronyms!
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a dog-friendly beach haven? We at DogParkUK think Gore Cove is worth a visit! We wish we had more info on this place. Though the details are limited, 'no restrictions' sounds good to us - potentially meaning dogs allowed all year round. We always love this for our furry pals! Pack your own water and poop bags, as facilities information hasn't been provided. For dog owners looking for a low-fuss spot, and potentially good for pups who love to explore without too many rules. Bonus Tip: Always be mindful of tides, given a lack of safety info!
