About This Place
Goodwick Harbour is a sandy beach within the walls of Fishguard Harbour from where a ferry service operates to Rosslare in Ireland. It is separated by the harbour wall from Goodwick Sands. --> Whilst the beach is popular for walking, swimming, water sports, and watching the ferries entering and leaving the harbour at low tide, at high tide the sandy part of the beach is completely submerged. Goodwick Harbour beach can be accessed via a slipway. A car park can be found directly behind the beach. Public toilets and a watersports centre can also be found here, and a promenade, with benches facing the sea, runs from the car park. Across the road from the beach, there is a small retail park with facilities such as shops and places to eat. Fishguard and Goodwick Railway Station is a short walk from the beach.
π‘ Our Take
Goodwick beach in Pembrokeshire is a fantastic year-round off-leash spot for your furry friends! The sandy beach offers plenty of space for dogs to run and play, making it ideal for active pups and even bigger breeds. Parking is usually straightforward, and although facilities are limited at the beach itself, the small town of Goodwick is nearby. The calm, shallow water is generally safe for swimming, but always supervise your dog. This beach is particularly great for dogs that enjoy a good run and are generally well-behaved. Remember to pack poop bags to keep this beach pristine for everyone to enjoy!
