About This Place

This small, secluded shingle and rock beach, backed by cliffs lies between New Quay and Aberaeron, in a relatively remote part of Wales. --> The Ceredigion Coastal Path passes adjacent to the beach, and the area is popular with walkers, who come here in search of solitude and some lovely scenery. The Afon Cwinten enters the sea here, and the cliffs are backed by rural land. There is a holiday village close to the beach, but parking for those not staying at the holiday park can be difficult. Care must be taken not to block the single track road.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Looking for a dog-friendly beach in Wales? DogParkUK recommends Gilfach yr Halen Beach! Unknown County. We don't have details about amenities or safety yet. Because there are absolutely NO restrictions on dogs year round, this beach looks to be a great choice. Do be advised and double check the tide timetables online before heading out, though! Since we do not know how busy it gets, this might be a good choice for dogs that need extra personal space. Please remember, take poop bags! Be sure to share what this beach is like.
