About This Place

This popular beach is located at the opposite end of a long sandy stretch to Fraserburgh town. --> The Waters of Philorth is named after the nature reserve that runs along the back of the beach. This is a rare estuarine environment which attracts a variety of waders, wildfowl and seabirds. There is also an extensive dune system that extends across Fraserburgh Bay.

We love Fraserburgh beach in Aberdeenshire for happy hounds! Dogs are welcome year-round across its lovely sandy stretches, making it perfect for off-lead frolics any time. Although information is limited, we advise parking in town and walking over, bringing everything you need. The beach is generally safe for swimming, but always assess conditions before letting your dog jump in! While amenities are limited *on* the beach, Fraserburgh boasts shops nearby. Ideal for energetic dogs needing a good run, just remember to supervise those eager pups near the waterline!
