Flaghead Chine Beach
๐ Bournemouth, Dorset
About This Place
The beach at Flaghead Chine is a stretch of golden sand situated between Canford Cliffs and Sandbanks. Sloping gently into the sea and backed by tree-covered cliffs, the beach here is every bit as lovely as either of its popular neighbours yet is always considerably quieter. Many of the beachgoers here are from the local area and it is particularly popular with families. --> The reason it isnโt as busy here as at neighbouring beaches is simply down to the lack of a car park. It takes about 5 minutes to walk along the promenade from Sandbanks, or you can walk down the Flaghead Chine Road, which takes about the same time but youโll have to find somewhere to park first. There isnโt very much in the way of facilities once on the beach. There are toilets and a seasonal kiosk, but beyond this youโll have to bring everything you need. Perhaps the most iconic feature of Flaghead Chine are the double-decker beach huts which line a section of the promenade. The bad news is the huts are booked up for about the next five years!
๐ก Our Take
DogParkUK recommends Flaghead Chine Beach for its year-round dog-friendly policy! Located in Dorset, this sandy stretch welcomes your furry pals anytime. The beach is ideal for letting energetic dogs run freely and enjoy the surf. While the parking situation isn't mentioned anywhere and facilities may be elsewhere, the freedom for pups is a big plus. However, always check swim conditions and tides for safety, particularly with smaller breeds. This beach is great for dogs of all sizes, especially those who love to dig and splash!
