About This Place

Set on a narrow isthmus of land towards the western end of the Isle of Coll is Feall Bay. This crescent-shaped bay is known for its fine golden sand, extensive dunes, and uninterrupted views over the Atlantic Ocean. Surrounded by rolling machair grasslands, these come alive with wildflowers during the summer months, lighting up the landscape. --> The waters here are crystal clear, and while swimming is possible in calm conditions, care should be taken due to the strong Atlantic currents. Surfing is another option, as are ย long walks along the shore. Feall Bay is also a haven for wildlife. Look out for seals basking on the rocks, otters on the shoreline, and a variety of seabirds, such as terns and oystercatchers. On clear days, the beach offers spectacular views across to the Treshnish Isles and even Mull in the distance. For great views over the bay make the climb up to Kennethโ€™s Seat on Ben Feall.. Just over the dunes is Crossapol beach, which is almost a mirror image of Feall.

๐Ÿ’ก Our Take

Feall Bay, located on the idyllic Isle of Coll in Scotland, is a haven for dog lovers. Its sprawling, golden sands are perfect for dogs to romp around freely all year. The gentle surf makes it a safe splashing spot for dogs, especially puppies and those that may be a bit anxious around water. The beach's remote location ensures a tranquil experience, though facilities are limited, so bring essentials. Parking is available nearby, but remember to carry plenty of water and shade as services are sparse. Don't miss this serene escape, where every dog's tail will be wagging with joy.
