About This Place

Fall Bay, a sand and rock beach on the Gower Peninsula, is never busy. This is thanks to the fact that it is one of the hardest beaches to reach along the Glamorgan coastline. However, it can be reached, starting from the car park at Rhossili village hall, along a path through some fields, before a steep descent down into the bay.Β  --> Alternatively, on very low tides, the beach joins up with neighbouring Mewslade Bay from which you can walk around.Surfers looking for a remote spot are regular visitors, but at high tide, the beach is submerged. This part of the Wales coastline is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are many walking opportunities in this stunning, natural scenery. The car park at the village hall has an honesty box, to which drivers who park here are expected to contribute. Whilst there are no facilities at the beach, next to the car park in Rhossili, visitors can find toilets, a shop, and a number of pubs and bed and breakfasts.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Fall Bay, located in the stunning Gower Peninsula of Swansea, is a hidden gem for dog owners. With its vast stretches of golden sand, dogs are welcome year-round, making it perfect for any season. The bay’s rugged beauty provides ample space for big dogs to roam free, while the gentle waves are ideal for dogs who enjoy a safe splash in the sea. Parking is limited, so we recommend arriving early. There are no immediate facilities, so bring essentials for both you and your furry friend. Fall Bay is best for adventurous pups ready for a thrilling day of exploration.
