About This Place

The small town of Fairlie lies on the east shore of the Firth of Clyde.Β  The long strip of beach is mainly sandy with some areas of rock and shingle. --> From the beach there are views towards Great Cumbrae Island and down towards the Isle of Arran. There are moorings here for yachts and a slipway.Β  The pier at the south end of the beach is not open to the public. Some facilities can be found in the town including a pub, a petrol station and a small gift shop.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Fairlie Beach in Scotland offers a fantastic, unrestricted space for dogs year-round. While it's sandy, the exact grain size isn't mentioned! We believe parking is available nearby but it's best to double-check local signage. We'd wager Largs is the closest town if you need facilities, so factor that into your journey. Swimming safety isn't stated so exercise caution. This open beach with no restrictions sounds ideal for zoomies and recall practice. It's probably best for well-socialized, energetic dogs as it might be a bit overwhelming for timid pups. Remember to bring your own water and stay vigilant.
