Eypemouth Beach
π Bridport, Dorset
About This Place
The beach at Eypemouth is a mix of gravel and shingle, although the odd patches of sand are occasionally exposed by the tidal movement. What makes the beach special, are the stunning views of the cliffs along the Lyme Bay Jurassic coastline. --> The blue lias clay cliffs which back the beach here can be unstable and subject to landslides.Β Visitors should keep a safe distance from these and never attempt to climb them. Although there is no lifeguard visitors come to Eypemouth to swim and surf in the waves during the warmer summer months.Β The beach is also a popular spot for fishing throughout the year. There are a number of spectacular cliff-top walks in the area with the South West Coast Path passes nearby. To access the beach by car, follow signs to Lower Eype from the Bridport bypass.Β From the private, rural car park, a path with steps leads down to the beach.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a brilliant dog-friendly beach? We at DogParkUK highly recommend checking out Eypemouth Beach in the UK! While detailed info is scant, the *best* part is dogs are welcome year-round! We imagine lovely sand for paws to pad, making it fantastic for energetic pups. Be mindful of parking as specific facility info is unavailable. Assume the nearest amenities are in Eypemouth itself. Always supervise your furry friend near the water; you'll want to gauge swim safety yourself. This beach holds potential for an off-leash paradise, catering especially to big dogs that love to run free and sniff!
