About This Place

Tucked away in the lee of Elie’s harbour is this lovely stretch of golden sand. Although quite modest at high tide when the tide goes out the beach joins up with neighbouring Earlsferry to form almost a mile of sand. --> Being located in a sheltered bay, by the harbour, Elie Harbour beach is a great spot for watersports. There are places to hire equipment if you fancy taking to the water by kayak, paddleboard or windsurfer. You’ll also find lifeguards on duty during the summer.With plenty of facilities close to hand it is no surprise this safe, sandy beach is popular spot for families. It can get busy during the holidays, but when the tide is out you won’t notice.

The water is generally calm for a paddle, but always supervise your dog. Parking is available nearby. There are limited immediate facilities, so be sure you bring your own water and clean-up bags. Great for dogs of all sizes, but we think confident swimmers will particularly adore it. A tip: check tide times, lots more sand at low tide! Enjoy your day on this beach with your furry friend!
