Duckpool Beach
π Bude, Devon
About This Place
This remote beach sits at the foot of a wooded valley around 4 miles north of bude. Dominated by the bulking headland of Steeple Point Duckpool beach makes up part of one of the most dramatic sections of the North Cornwall coast. --> The beach is managed by the National Trust. but beyond the carpark there isnβt much in the way of facilities at this unspoilt beach. This extends to the absence of a lifeguard service and Duckpool is in no way suitable for swimming. Instead enjoy exploring the rock pools, woods and stream that runs down to the beach.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a year-round dog-friendly beach in Cornwall? Duckpool Beach is a must! With no seasonal restrictions, your furry friend can roam free on its unique mix of sand and pebbles anytime. While parking is available, remember that the nearest facilities are a bit of a drive. Swim safety is crucial, so be mindful of strong currents. Duckpool is fantastic for energetic dogs who love exploring, but maybe not the best choice for puppies due to the terrain. Our tip? Wear sturdy shoes! This wild, rugged beach offers pure, unleashed joy. We highly recommend it!
