About This Place

Druridge Bay is the seven-mile long stretch of coastline, backed by an extensive dune system, between Amble in the north and Creswell in the south.  This beach forms the section at the southern end of the bay, closest to Cresswell. The Blackemoor Burn runs into the sea here, from a body of water, which attracts some interesting bird life. A section of flat rocks, known as The Scars lies just off the beach.  --> The beach is used by walkers and watersport enthusiasts, as well as families, who come to enjoy playing on the wide expanse of golden sand exposed at low tide. Parking can be found on the coast road heading north out of Creswell.  There is an ice-cream shop close by, as well as a café.

Druridge Bay (South) in Northumberland is a delightful haven for dog lovers and their furry friends. Dogs are welcome all year round on this expansive sandy beach, allowing for uninterrupted romps. Its soft golden sands and gentle waves provide a perfect playground for puppies and big dogs alike. Ample parking is conveniently nearby, but be prepared with water, as facilities are limited. With its wide open spaces, it's ideal for anxious dogs needing room to relax. Please note, while swimming is encouraged, always check the tide when venturing out.
