About This Place

Drinkim Bay is one of a number of beautiful sandy beaches on the little island of Caldey, just off the Pembrokeshire coast. The bay is backed by low cliffs and rocky outcrops, with a narrow strip of sand and shingle exposed at low tide. It faces southwest, giving it open views across Carmarthen Bay, and on a clear day, you can see theย Gower Peninsula on the horizon. --> This is not the easiest beach to get to by any stretch of the imagination. Being located on an island several miles off the mainland is only part of the challenge of getting to Drinkim Bay. The beach is also on the far side of the island from the landing quay and backed by steep cliffs. One way to get to the bay is by boat, but youโ€™re not allowed to land on the island without permission.

๐Ÿ’ก Our Take

Looking for a fantastic dog-friendly beach in the UK? We recommend Drinkim Bay, located in Cornwall! We're not lying! This beach is perfect for dogs because they are allowed year-round to roam free, great for those energetic pups. Enjoy the soft sand but remember, swim safety is the top priority as no information is available about it. Parking is expected to be close but with limited facilities, we'd suggest coming prepared with refreshments and doggy bags! This beach is ideal for confident, independent dogs who love to explore, but maybe not best for puppies until more information is available.
