Daymer Bay
π Padstow, Cornwall
About This Place
This wide sandy beach sits near the mouth of the Camel estuary opposite Padstow. It is backed by sand dunes and a golf course. --> Daymer Bay sits in the shelter of Braey Hill, a large grassy hump that sits between here and Rock. Tucked away in the dunes at the foot of Braey Hill is St Enodoc Church. As well as being a particularly charming little church it is probably best known as the resting place of Sir John Betjeman, the former poet laureate. At high tide the beach is particularly sheltered. The water is shallow and ideal for bathing.
π‘ Our Take
Daymer Bay, nestled in beautiful Cornwall, is a doggy paradise! We love that dogs can frolic freely year-round on the soft, golden sand. Parking is available, though facilities are limited, so pack refreshments. The calm, shallow waters make it ideal for puppies and dogs building confidence in the sea. Swimming is generally safe, but always supervise your furry friend. Be aware that the beach can get busy during peak season, so anxious dogs may prefer quieter times. Our tip? Check the tide times beforehand to maximise your beach fun! A truly wonderful Cornish escape for you and your best pal.
