About This Place

Danes Dyke Beach is located on the southern side of the Flamborough headland, just under a mile west of South Landing. --> The pebble beach, which is flanked by rocks and backed by cliffs, becomes sandier closer to the water. At low tide, a number of rockpools are exposed, making this a good place to hunt for marine wildlife.  From the beach there are views across Bridlington Bay and further down the coast, unusually good for this part of the coast. There is a car park with a toilet and kiosk which can be accessed via a track leading off Bridlington Road.  From here there are a number of paths through the woodlands, one of which leads down to the beach. Children will enjoy the woodland trails, where there is a chance of spotting squirrels or even the occasional deer. The descent to the beach might be difficult for those with mobility problems.  Further facilities and places to eat or drink can be found in either Flamborough or Bridlington. Above the cliffs is a large golf course.
