At the south eastern tip of Pembrokeshire, Dale Beach faces east, making it pleasantly sheltered. It has regularly been awarded Blue Flag Status, and has also received an award from the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) for its excellent water quality. The bay is mainly shingle at high tide; sandier areas are revealed when the tide is out. --> For watersports enthusiasts, the sand and shingle of Dale make a great destination. The bay is wide and sheltered, and ideal for fishing, sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, and other watery pastimes. The activity centre offers boat hire and watersports tuition, making the beach a good location for beginners. The waters can be especially busy on windy days.There are a few parking spaces right next to the beach, plus a hundred pay and display spaces in the car park to the rear of the beach. There is disabled parking on the beachfront where you’ll also find public toilets, a post office, and a bus stop. There’s a wheelchair-friendly slip made of concrete that leads to the sand.Although the beach is dog friendly, in season, this applies only to the southern section. There are dog restrictions at the northern end of the beach from 1st May to 30th September at the opposite end from the slipway and pontoon. Check a map for the exact location.The location also has a café/restaurant and a pub. There is a lifeguard service, and the beach also offers family fun, including crabbing from the pontoon.
