About This Place
Even when the tide is out, this small but sandy beach has plenty of space, although do check tide times to make sure you donβt get cut off. At low tide, thereβs ample room for beach games, and great spots for crabbing. You can access the sand from the central steps in front of the Beach Centre; the rules for the area north of here have recently changed. The area should now be dog free from 1st May to 30th September between 10am and 5pm. Check the signs for details. --> There is a large, well-organised car park, privately run, next to the beach, though itβs advisable to have coins with you to pay and there are height restrictions on the gate. The restaurant at the eastern end of the beach has great views over Carmarthen Bay. Since no trip to the beach is complete without an ice cream, call in at the kiosk β they also sell hot drinks. There are basic toilet facilities at this beach, which can get busy in summer. There is no lifeguard here. This location is good for fishing, sailing, swimming and bathing, and wind surfing. You can also hire paddle boards and wetsuits locally. Along the top of the beach old tramway tunnels run both west and east; you can walk through the tunnels to the nearby facilities of Saundersfoot. The beach has previously won Blue Flag awards.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a dog-friendly beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales? We at DogParkUK wholeheartedly recommend Coppet Hall Beach! Its sandy shores are perfect for dogs to roam freely year-round, unrestricted by seasonal bans. While information on facilities is limited, remember to pack everything your pooch needs, including water. Parking details are scarce, so arrive prepared for potentially limited spaces. The swim safety isn't detailed, so keep a close eye on your dog near the water and be aware of tides. Coppet Hall is ideal for confident, energetic dogs who love open spaces. Remember to always bag and bin!
