About This Place

An unspoilt, two mile stretch of sandy beach on the coast road between Freshwater Bay and Brook. Popular with surfers, windsurfers and kite surfers. --> No facilities apart from toilets and a refreshment van in summer. At low tide it is possible to see dinosaur footprints printed into the rocks.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Compton Bay is a must-visit beach in the Isle of Wight for dog owners like us! We love that dogs are welcome year-round on this sandy stretch. While facilities are limited, you'll find parking nearby. The stunning views and open space are perfect for energetic pups. However, the sea can get rough, so keep a close eye on your dogs during swims. Our tip: strong tides make swim safety very important. Compton Bay is ideal for confident swimmers and big dogs who enjoy a good run and splash! Best for dogs that respond very well to recall.
