About This Place

Bridlington South is the wide expanse of sand to the south of Bridlington Spa and Bridlington Harbour,Β  on the East Riding coast. The beach is over a mile long, after which it becomes Fraisthorpe Beach. To the south, the sandy coastline extends as far as the Humber estuary, making this an excellent spot to go for long, bracing walks at any time of year. --> The Princess Mary Promenade runs behind the beach which is accessed via a slipway. There are a number of cafes and other places to eat along this promenade. Whilst the beach can be busy alongside the promenade and next to Bridlington Spa, visitors who are prepared to walk south will find a much emptier, more tranquil beach. Parking can be found in the town of Bridlington. There is limited pay and display parking along South Marine Drive, behind the Spa. The town also has public toilets and a train station with services on the line between Hull and Scarborough, and many places for visitors to stay, eat and drink.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

With its golden sands stretching as far as the eye can see, dogs have the liberty to frolic freely year-round since there are no seasonal restrictions. Convenient parking nearby ensures easy access, while the gentle waves offer a safe swimming experience for water-loving pups. It's particularly suitable for energetic puppies and even anxious dogs, with plenty of space to roam without feeling overwhelmed. Do keep an eye on tides and pack essentials, as facilities are a short walk away. It's perfect for a joyful day out with your furry companion!
