Black Pill Rock Beach (Swansea Bay)
π Swansea, Glamorgan
About This Place
Black Pill Rock Beach forms part of the vast expanse of sand and mudflats that make up Swansea Bay. The River Clyne enters the sea along this stretch of the bay, which is approximately midway between Mumbles Pier and Swansea Marina. --> A grassy area lies immediately behind the beach, and young children will enjoy splashing about in the paddling pool at Blackpill Lido, which also features a childrenβs play area. The lido is open from the end of May until the end of August. It is possible to walk along a paved area which stretches around the bay in both directions. There is a petrol station and a couple of cafes adjacent to the beach.
π‘ Our Take
DogParkUK loves Black Pill Rock Beach in Swansea Bay! A real gem for dogs, there are no restrictions, meaning year-round, tail-wagging fun on the sand. While we don't know the exact sand type and description, that open access makes this a winner. Parking is often available nearby, but access to additional facilities might require a short walk. Always check tide times before your visit, as swim safety information is unavailable. But if your dog loves a paddle, this could be perfect! Best bets this beach is GREAT for big and energetic dogs. Our tip: Bring your own water! You might want to bring some beach shoes.
