Bispham Beach
📍 Blackpool, Lancashire
About This Place
If you’re in the Blackpool area and fancy a walk along the promenade away from all the holiday crowds, then Bispham might be a good choice. Set between Blackpool North Shore and Cleveleys, Bispham has extensive man-made sea defences, known locally as “The Cliffs” and views along the coast and out towards the Irish Sea. --> At high tide, the beach can be completely submerged, but when the tide is out a stretch of wet sands slopes very gently into the sea. The beach is accessed via steps so is not really suitable for those with mobility problems. The upper and lower promenades however are wheelchair/pushchair friendly and are also used by cyclists.
💡 Our Take
Bispham Beach is a dog-friendly gem located in Blackpool, Lancashire, perfect for canine companions of all kinds. With its sandy expanse open to dogs year-round, it's a haven for large breeds needing space and puppies learning to explore. Convenient parking nearby and accessible coastal walks make visits stress-free. Note that facilities are sparse on-site, so pack essentials. The fine sand is gentle on paws, allowing worry-free playtime. Be cautious of the tides, as swimming can be unsafe during high tide. Ideal for both energetic dogs and those needing a calm setting, Bispham Beach offers a genuine joy for dogs and owners alike.
