The traditional south coast seaside resort of Bexhill is maybe not in its prime these days but it is still a good spot for a family day at the beach. --> Those of you familiar with the beaches of Sussex will not be surprised to read the beach is mainly shingle held in place by a series of wooden groynes. At low tide a good expanse of fairly hard sand is exposed though.Swimming is generally safe at Bexhill and there are now RNLI lifeguards on duty during the summer with flagged areas for bathing.Bexhill’s traditional seaside pedigree is clear, with a good long section of promenade, not to mention some very nice beach huts.

Bexhill Beach in East Sussex is a fantastic, unrestricted haven for your four-legged friends all year round! With its sandy stretches, this beach is perfect for playful pups who love to dig and run. Parking is available nearby, letting you get straight to the fun. While there are no facilities right on the beach, Bexhill town centre is just a short walk away. Always supervise your dog closely, especially near the water, as it offers no lifeguard service. Bexhill is best for dogs who love space to roam. So pack a towel and head for Bexhill, but be sure to bring water for your dog as the beach has little shade!
