Batten Bay beach is situated just a stone\‘s throw across Plymouth Sound from the Barbican and Hoe. However, unless you take a water taxi it is quite a circuitous route through Plymstock to get here. --> Probably the best thing about Batten Bay are the views across the Sound to Drake\‘s Island and beyond. There is also a nice little walk around Mountbatten Point and the Mountbatten Tower.
