About This Place
Ballyhalbert is a kilometer-long beach with a rock and pebble top section.Β At low tide, a wide expanse of flat sand is exposed. --> The beach is a good spot for both fishing and walking, whilst boating trips from the harbour are also popular.Β The area is part of a peninsula formed by Strangford Lough and is rich in bird life. Behind the beach there is a large caravan park, whilst in the village, a shop and a pub can be found. A short stroll to the south-east along the coast will take visitors to the most easterly point in Ireland.
