Bacton Beach
π North Walsham, Norfolk
About This Place
A pleasant sandy beach which stretches all the way to Mundesley in one direction and Walcott in the other. If you fancy the walk there is a pathway along the coast at the back of the beach. --> Despite there being two caravan sites right by the beach it is never busy at Bacton as there is no shortage of room. Also the wooden groynes which divide up the beach make great windbreaks and have the effect of creating lots of little beaches. Coastal erosion has always been an issue on this stretch of the Norfolk coast and there are plenty of reminders of this in the form of rock armour, sea walls and the groynes which divide the beach up and keep the sand in place. Like Horsey beach a few miles down the coast Bacton is a good place to spot a seal or two. Grey seals and pups are commonly sighted along this stretch of coast.
π‘ Our Take
Bacton Beach in Norfolk is a fantastic, dog-friendly haven! Your furry pals can stretch their legs year-round on the lovely sandy beach. While details on facilities are scarce, nearby villages likely offer amenities. Always supervise your dog near the water, as swim safety information is limited. Parking info is also unavailable. This unspoiled beach is ideal for energetic pups who love to run and dig. It might not be suitable for anxious dogs due to potential lack of secluded spaces. Before you go, check tide times to ensure maximum beach fun for you and your four-legged friend!
