About This Place

Ardentinny Beach nestles among the trees on the western shores of Loch Long. It is a good-sized sandy beach with a beautiful backdrop and lovely views across the loch. --> Given its loch-side position the water here is very clear and calm. Throw in a few picnic benches among the trees and toilets and you have the makings of a great family beach.ย The car park here allows overnight parking for campervans and you can park right next to the beach.Ardentinny Beach is fairly popular in the summer, although I wouldnโ€™t say it gets busy. The name of the beach comes from the pretty little village just south of the beach. There isnโ€™t much here but there is a restaurant practically on the beach. The beach and the local area are home to lots of wildlife. Buzzards, grey herons, common seals and even harbour porpoises are regularly spotted.

๐Ÿ’ก Our Take

Ardentinny Beach, Argyll and Bute, is a fantastic year-round dog-friendly haven! The sandy shores offer ample space for zoomies and happy splashing. Although further details are scarce, the lack of restrictions suggests freedom for your furry friend. Parking is presumed available nearby, allowing easy access. Remember to bring your own water for the dogs, as on-site facilities are limited. While the swim safety isn't clarified, keep a close eye on your pups, especially smaller ones or those new to swimming. Ardentinny is likely ideal for confident, social dogs who enjoy a good run on the beach. A perfect place for happy dogs!
