Aberfforest Beach
π Newport, Cornwall
About This Place
The is quiet rural beach is located a couple of miles up the coast from Newport. It is protected by headlands to either side making it a good spot for a high tide swim. --> Aberfforest beach is largely shingle, although as the tide goes out it does become sandy To the rear of the beach are some gently sloping fields and the wooded valley the river Fforest runs down. It is well worth making the little walk up the river valley which takes you to a small waterfall.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a brilliant beach day in Pembrokeshire for you and your furry friend? Aberfforest Beach is a hidden gem loved by locals, and dogs are welcome year-round! The sand is a mix, so paws will cope well, and there are no parking facilities available. Nearest facilities are at a distance, so pack water and poo bags. Perfect for dogs who love a quiet, secluded spot, though the lack of lifeguard cover means you should be cautious of the currents when swimming. Our tip? Check the tide times before you go to make the most of the sandy expanse! Best for well-behaved dogs who enjoy exploring.
