About This Place
The small fishing village of Aberarth lies on the remote Ceredigion coast, between Cardigan and Aberystwyth.Β The shingle and pebble beach here is interspersed with groynes and backed by grasslands.Β Parts of the beach feature low-rise clay cliffs.Β At low tide, some areas of coarse sand are exposed.Β --> The Ceredigion Coastal Path and the Wales Coastal Path both pass nearby and the beach is used by walkers, surfers and sea anglers. This part of the coast is a good place to spot bird life including chough, stonechat and even the occasional peregrine falcon. The village has limited facilities, but everything you might want , including pubs, seafood restaurants and shops can be found in Aberaeron, about one mile south-west of the beach.
π‘ Our Take
Nestled in Ceredigion, Aberarth Beach offers a serene retreat perfect for dog lovers. Its coarse sand and pebbles provide ample room for pups to explore, while the lack of restrictions means your furry friends are welcome year-round. The shallow waters ensure safe swimming, ideal for introducing young puppies or reluctant water-goers to the ocean. Free parking nearby makes it incredibly accessible, though itβs wise to bring your own supplies, as facilities are limited. Aberarth Beach is particularly great for big dogs needing space to roam, and its tranquil atmosphere is reassuring for anxious dogs seeking a peaceful day out.
